Who & Why

This BAM Congress is intended for businesspeople, BAM practitioners, investors, educators and students. We want them to be informed about Business as Mission, to be inspired through the stories of practitioners, and to get tools to do BAM themselves. To reach this goal we have invited BAM practitioners and BAM leaders from around the world to share their insights and experiences. How can my business be a tool for the kingdom of God!

We will reflect together; what is BAM, why engage with BAM and how to apply BAM in your own company and / or get involved in other ways. On Thursday we also welcome church and mission leaders, as we want them to get acquainted with BAM also, so they can encourage entrepreneurs in their community to engage with BAM.

In 2017  YWAM Gateway Europe, Worldpartners and Interserve Netherlands saw the need to promote the concept of Business as Mission in Europe and organised the first BAM Congress. They saw the potential of BAM for this continent, as they imagined Christian entrepreneurs in Europe regarding their companies as vehicles for Gods Mission. What if these business people started acting upon that understanding? God would be glorified so much more, also on the market place!
